Tyler Reed and Preston Moody were finishing a move into their new bachelor pad in Layton when they noticed something on their front porch. Some type of raw animal meat was sitting on their porch against the door.
They don’t have a doorbell camera and aren’t sure who left it. Tyler grabbed a grocery bag preparing to pick up the mystery meat. “I don’t even want to touch it, so I’m just going to kind of open the bag,” he said.
Reed and Moody thought the meat looked like some type of animal heart, but they took it to a local butcher to find out for sure. “That is definitely not a cow,” said butcher Lance Lasater. “I would say it’s mid-range sized, like maybe a pig or a sheep.”
They aren’t sure if the heart was some sort of welcome to the neighborhood gift or a prank. “We’re just getting a good laugh out of this whole thing,” Reed said.
