In order to avoid spoiling the surprise reveal at the end of the first episode of The Mandalorian back in November, Disney didn't start producing toys or merchandise of any kind featuring "The Child" until their Star Wars streaming series premiered. That meant that, even though the show was a huge hit and Baby Yoda was a cultural phenomenon, there was no Baby Yoda stuff on the shelves for the holiday shopping season. The annual toy company expo NY Toy Fair was held this past weekend, and it looks like Hasbro, Lego, Build-A-Bear, and many other companies will be making up for lost time by releasing Baby Yodas in every shape and size imaginable. iO9 has a great rundown of everything they saw at last week's Disney Toy Fair preview event and there are probably way too many examples below.
Highlights include Hasbro's Baby Yoda Animatronic Plush, The Lego Razor Crest set, which includes mini-figures of The Mandalorian, The Child, IG-11, and Greef Carga, plus, Build-A-Bear Workshop's customizable Baby Yoda Plush. The Child will also be available as an action figure in various sizes and a series of small collectible figures, sort of like his own collection of Precious Moments figurines. One company is offering a board game where you try to fling frog's into Baby Yoda's mouth. There's even a Baby Yoda Chia Pet on the way.
