Korn recently wrapped up a big 30th anniversary tour, and have been working on new music, but unfortunately we won't be hearing it any time soon.

The band's guitarist, Brian "Head" Welch, shared an update on their upcoming album during a visit to the Everblack podcast. “Yeah, we got a lot of it [written]. We’re still working,” he said before sharing the disappointing news.

“Dude, it’s a trip 30 years later, man, to try to keep doing it," he added. "And we’re very happy with what we got, but it’s just gonna take a while. And I don’t know how long — maybe next summer, maybe next year, the next winter, I don’t know, but it’s not gonna be soon.”

The update comes after Welch previously told fans they could expect a new album in 2024. “Yeah, new music coming out next year," he said in a 2023 interview with Loudwire. "I don’t know, we’re just kind of in hiding right now, just doing our own thing.”

Korn's last album was 2022's Requiem.

The band doesn't have any 2025 North American tour plans as of now; however, they're set to headline the Sonic Temple and Welcome to Rockville festivals and are playing festivals in Europe and the UK next summer. Watch Welch's full interview below.
