Today We Celebrate Festivus!!

Yes it's the holidays and as much as we love Christmas it is important to know and recognize all holidays that come about this time of year, especially to December 23rd, because it's on that day that we all celebrate FESTIVUS!!

Of all the things we got from Seinfeld, the late Jerry Stiller gifted us the great holiday celebration of Festivus. Stiller's character of Frank Costanza explains he invented the holiday in response to the commercialism of Christmas, with the slogan of "A Festivus for the rest of us!"

It is on this day that we adorn an aluminum Festivus pole to be displayed in the home, serve a traditional dinner in the evening, during dinner we allow the Airing of Grievances, and each person takes turns describing how the others have disappointed him or her over the past year. Then, comes the feats of strength, and wrestling the head of the household, which ends the holiday only when the head of the household is pinned, because failure to pin the head of the household results in perpetual Festivus.

You can have your Christmas with family and friends, but Festivus is for all to enjoy no matter who you are or where you're from.

So gather all those you know and enjoy A Festivus For The Rest Of Us!
